Washoe County Commission Chair Alexis Hill shook up the Nevada election scene in September with the surprising launch of her campaign for governor. Since then, she has taken her gutsy grassroots campaign directly to the voters statewide, promoting her assertive, solution-centered policy platform. With her typical, forthright style, Commissioner Hill cuts to the core of Nevada’s problems and necessary remedies, as she sees them. Some say they’re ingenious, some call them controversial.
