The Latino vote of 2012 is shaping up as a powerful force that must be reckoned with, said Andres Ramirez, Vice Chair of the National Democratic Hispanic Caucus, who spoke to a crowded room of WashoeDEMS, Feb. 7.
“It’s huge,” said Ramirez, when giving statistics of the burgeoning numbers of Latinos throughout Nevada, in the North, in the South and in the rural communities. The average age is 26 years old, and many of these voters speak both English and Spanish.
