Latino Leader to Address DEMS, Feb. 7
Join WashoeDEMS and help mobilize Latino voters!


RENO – The public is cordially invited to join the Democratic Party of Washoe County (WashoeDEMS) for discussions with a prominent national Latino leader.

·    What:       “The Power of the Latino Vote, 2012.”

“Andres Ramirez, Vice Chair of the National Democratic Hispanic Caucus, will discuss the importance of having a plan for engaging and mobilizing Latino voters in 2012,” Pam duPre, WashoeDEMS Executive Director, said.

Members of the media are invited to interview Ramirez on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at WashoeDEMS Headquarters. A lunch meeting follows at Noon for local Hispanic activists.  

“Roberta Lange, Chairwoman of the Nevada State Democratic Party, will also speak Tuesday night about upcoming 2012 election strategies,” duPre added.

Andres serves as the Senior Vice President of a Washington, D.C. think tank, where he oversees Hispanic activities, including advocacy of comprehensive immigration reform, Latin America policies, demographics and research and electoral participation.
